Post CNN.COM News Story on Branson

There is an interesting story on CNN's web page today about Branson's attempt to bring people that in the past could be listed as resisters to what Branson has to offer. There is currently a campaign geared toward these people to show them that Branson has more to offer than just hillbilly and old has been entertainers. The article points out that there are numerous activities that people can take part in at Branson. And it also pointed out that many of these activities were geared toward families looking for fun outside of music shows and crafts.

Alot of us have known this now for many years. But there are still people out there that don't. Maybe news articles like these will spread the word about Branson and cause more people to come and enjoy what we have been enjoying now for years.

This made me chuckle:

even loved the "Dixie Stampede," a comical show with farm animals.
Guess I never thought of Dixie Stampede that way.

Interesting. I understand the desire to bring in new visitors, but the fact that there are so many returning visitors certainly says something about Branson, don't ya think!? We're bringing 3 first timers with us on our trip in June (well,4 if you count our 7 week old!) and we can't wait to show them around our favorite family vacation destination! I'm betting they'll become return visitors, too.

Simpsons Episode

Wondered if anybody caught this episode of The Simpsons. Here are some excerpts from the synopsis:

Bart goes to the DMV with Patty and Selma....At the DMV Bart makes himself a fake driver's license. ... they decide to use Martin's money to rent a car. The four of them tell their parents that they are going to the National Grammar Rodeo. Instead they go out joyriding, but where should they go? Finding an old brochure they decide to go to the World's Fair in Knoxville, Tennessee. But first Nelson makes them stop in Branson, Missouri, where he can see his hero, Andy Williams....Bart tells Lisa that she needs to have somebody ship something large to Springfield.

Branson if getting famous-er and famous-er!!

By the way--does anyone have the Chamber number--since I have been away for 2 years--visited this past Thanksgiving though--I no longer have that number--did they move location or are in the same place?
Thank!
