The skycoaster is a thrill ride. (One that you would have to tie me up and gag me to get me on!!!) Since I've never actually ridden one, this is just from what I've seen of other people on it. It basically looks like a big metal arch. Riders are strapped into harnesses (I think up to three can ride at a time) that hang from long cables. The cable is pulled backwards, which pulls the riders high into the air, and then, once they reach the top, one of the riders pulls a release cord, and they coast through the sky dangling from the cables. It basically looks like a giant swing.
You can see a sample picture of a similar ride in Virginia at www.vbeach.com/skycoaster/

Tawny, you couldn't get me on one, either!
But, we've stopped and watched some kids go on it!
It's fun to watch their faces when they are first released to 'fly'! :D
My dd hasn't been on the one in Branson, but she has ridden them at several other theme park locations - and she LOVES them! She's my dare devil! She had thought of riding the one in Branson during Senior skip day, but it was rainy, so she passed (Momma was thankful for the rain that day! I prefer to find out about thrills like that AFTER the fact!)
