Both of these museums look interesting and educational. We'd like to go to one while visiting with kids. Would they enjoy the Presidential Museum more than the Veterans Memorial - after reading about each one - they both sound great and we could all learn a lot from visiting them.
THANKS

Personally, I like the Veteran's Museum Better. There is much more to see there.
The Veteran's Museum has a lot of displays of uniforms, a huge statue, various weapons, pictures, memorabilia and a lot of written information describing everything.
The Presidential Museum has an Airforce One, plane, replicas of First Lady's dresses, recreation of the oval office and a lot of pins and campaign materials. There are a lot of pictures and a voting booth from Florida.
I just called both for prices.
The American Presidential Museum gave me a message stating that they were closed for the season and would not reopen until May. I'll check around and see if I can find some info on prices for them.
The Veteran's Memorial Museum is
$12.25 for adults
$5.00 for children (6-12)
children under 6 are free
Prices include taxes.
Hope this helps!

I will admit that I am a little biased - my boyfriend's uncle is the mastermind behind the Veterans Memorial Museum. I did visit the museum in 2001 (long before we started dating) and thought it was fascinating. The museum was designed to serve as an educational center and artistic memorial and it does these things so wonderfully.

My husband and I went to the Veterans Memorial on our first trip to Branson in Oct. of '01. We really enjoyed it, found it intresting and educational. We try to get to Veterans Memorials when we travel, cause my husband is a vet and we like to go through any we see.

Definitely, the Veteran's Museum!! http://szrtl.homestead.com/files/smile_ok.gif
I've been to both, and the Presidential Museum is not all that.
Hubby wanted to see this one, and I wasn't too interested. But, I wanted to see the First Lady ball gowns. I was a little surprised that this museum would have them. I thought perhaps the museum might have them on loan, from D.C.
It wasn't until we were inside, that I found out they were all replicas!! That wasn't stated in the add.
The rest of the museum was just as Branson Mom said.
The Veteran's Museum is awsome!! Many, many authentic artifacts, from several different eras.
And the statue of the running soldiers is fantastic! There are 50 life-size soldiers, in the statue. Each one, the likeness of a soldier from each of our 50 states.
